Guides, price ranges and tools on this site are general information about painting in the Portland metro. The scope, price, materials, schedule and any warranty for a particular job are set by the written estimate and the contract you sign, and nothing is agreed until then. Read the contract before you sign, and keep a copy.
Check the license yourself
Before you sign, look up the license number on the contract with the Oregon CCB license search or Washington L&I's contractor lookup. On a home built before 1978, also confirm the lead-safe license or certification.
Prices are estimates
Price ranges and calculator results are editorial estimates of typical Portland-metro pricing, explained on the methodology page. They are not quotes, offers or guarantees of what any job will cost.
